Is Hostinger Good? Honest Hostinger Review (2026)

Short answer: Yes. Hostinger is a good host for most small websites. It is one of the cheapest hosts to run for four years (about $96 on the Premium plan), it was fast in independent tests, and it includes free migration and a free domain for a year. The catches: the price jumps to $10.99 a month when the first term ends, and support is chat only, with no phone line.

Hostinger pros and cons

Hostinger’s biggest strength is price. Its biggest weakness is the jump at renewal (the price you pay after your first term ends).

Free migration (they move your site for you) No phone support, chat only
Free domain for the first year The lowest price needs a 4-year prepay
Free email for the first year Premium has weekly backups, not daily
Fast in independent speed tests Premium allows 3 websites

How much Hostinger really costs

Hostinger’s Premium plan costs $95.52 for the first 48 months. That works out to $1.99 a month. After that, it renews at $10.99 a month.

Plan First 4 years Monthly price after that Websites
Premium $95.52 ($1.99/mo) $10.99 3

What you get with Hostinger

Every Hostinger web hosting plan includes the basics a small site needs. Here is what Premium comes with:

The Unlimited plan adds daily backups, faster NVMe storage and unlimited sites.

Is Hostinger fast?

Yes. Hostinger was one of the faster budget hosts in independent tests. Website Builder Expert measured a server response time of about 0.33 seconds in its January 2026 US tests. Bluehost measured 0.58 seconds in the same tests. Lower is better.

Hostinger uses LiteSpeed web servers, which are built to load WordPress sites quickly. We have not run our own speed tests yet.

Is Hostinger safe and reliable?

Yes, for a normal small website. Hostinger includes free SSL, malware scanning, and domain privacy (it hides your home address from public domain records). Weekly backups come with Premium. If your site changes every day, the Unlimited plan’s daily backups are safer.

What is Hostinger’s support like?

Hostinger offers help 24 hours a day through live chat and email. There is no phone number to call. If you want to talk to a person on the phone, look at Bluehost or GoDaddy instead. See Hostinger vs GoDaddy.

Is Hostinger good for buying a domain? Yes. A domain is free for the first year with web hosting. After that, you pay the normal yearly price for it.

Can I get my money back? Yes. Hostinger has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
